Course description

The maintained course record, presented separately from live booking and user reviews.

Overview

Owned and operated by the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District, it opened in 1958 and offers a short round with mountain views. The back tees run 1,088 yards across the nine holes.

Design and playing the course

Bunkers appear on seven holes, and a lake borders the signature ninth. The compact routing rewards controlled tee shots and short-game skill, with sand saves a recurring part of the round. The course has seen work by Cal Olsen and later by Geoff Shackelford, Dave Axland and Dan Proctor, with the latest renovation described by the operator in 1996.

Practice and visits

Sinaloa has a 25-stall driving range, putting green and chipping area, allowing golfers to practice before or after a round. The golf shop stocks basic supplies, and the course offers online tee times, lessons, outings and leagues. It is at 980 Madera Road, Simi Valley; the golf shop number is (805) 581-2662.
