Course guide
The maintained course record, presented separately from live booking and user reviews.
William F. Bell designed the original course in 1959; the back nine opened in 1967. The routing spreads over 185 acres of high-desert ground with maintained greens and views of the surrounding base landscape.
The course grew from its original nine into a full championship layout. Its large site and desert setting distinguish it from urban Bakersfield courses. The Air Force’s 412th Force Support Squadron operates the course and clubhouse for eligible base users and authorized guests.
The Muroc Lake clubhouse contains a pro shop and lockers. The Sandbagger Grill serves breakfast and lunch, and the golf program includes lessons, clinics, leagues and outings. The operator also lists club rental and practice-range balls.
Guest fee categories appear on the operator’s course page, but visits require authorized base access. Call the golf shop at 111 Crossfield Drive to arrange a round and the required entry details.
