Hacienda Golf Club is a private, 18-hole course in La Habra Heights. William Watson routed the course through canyon terrain with natural ridges and a barranca; the club says that feature remains most visible on holes 4, 5 and 12. Club course description.
Playing the course
The club-hosted Gentlemen’s scorecard lists the Black tees at 6,955 yards, par 71, with a 74.1 course rating and 137 slope. Its front nine is par 35 and 3,535 yards; the back nine is par 36 and 3,420 yards. Blue and White tees appear on the same card, while a separate Members’ card provides combination tees. Course history
The club dates construction of Watson’s course to 1920–23. John Harbottle III oversaw a restoration begun in 2005 that rebuilt all 18 greens, reshaped bunkers and tees, and restored a stream through the middle of the course. The club describes a longer front nine and a shorter, more varied back nine. Restoration history.
